As a praying people,  we continue the walk to bring these foundations to our Oyate, our future generations. Water to our homes and a way to live as we choose.  The supreme law states that and a oyate we have the right to represent, The Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA), Pub. L. 101-601, 25 U.S.C. 3001 et seq., 104 Stat. 3048, is a United States federal law enacted on 16 November 1990. 

The American Indian Religious Freedom Act (commonly abbreviated to AIRFA) is a US federal law and a joint resolution of Congress that was passed in 1978. It was created to protect and preserve the traditional religious rights and cultural practices of AmericanIndians, Eskimos, Aleuts and Native Hawaiians.

We represent the Treaties of the 1851 1868 and all Federally recognized tribes, and the unilateral public land and resources that exist because of our treaty obligations. Lakota Oyate represents , The National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA; Public Law 89-665; 54 U.S.C. 300101 et seq.) is legislation intended to preserve historical and archaeological sites in the United States of America.

The money to operate Lakota Oyate Wowakan comes primarily from tax deductible  monetary contributions and Treaty Obligations for the benefit of the Oyate.  All Lakota Nations, and the unilateral use from the public of land and resources to generate  revenue to benefit Sovereign Nations  and the Unites states of America.  All sister nations and federally recognized tribes and citizens of the United States of America benefits from this trust and the Treaty Obligations. The special office of the trustee and the agency have a trust responsibility to the Oyate , as well to all sister Nations.  All mankind benefit from Lakota land and resources, represented in these treaties.
